There isn’t anything more precious to a
mother/grandmother than the memoires made with her children and grandchildren!
This is how I spent my mothers day! It began the night before with packing the
car and truck with all the goodies and cooler! Chairs, food, tents, football,
and of course the sand toys! Sunscreen to keep the grandbabies from getting burned.
My daughter-in-law was up late getting
everything ready for our fun filled day at the beach! I played with the
grandbabies and got them ready for bed. Papa read the night time story.
The alarm went off at 7am! Time for fun! Back at the
house breakfast is being made. Homemade breakfast pizzas with sausage gravy,
bacon, sausage, and cheese, biscuits with gravy, bacon and sausage links. Yummy
goodness while we wait for the siblings to arrive! The grandkids are up and
excited! Bathing suits on. Asking “when are we going to leave!” While waiting
for part of the clan to arrive I am presented with roses and cards from my grandchildren
which has their little hand prints inside! Things like that are the best! When
the clan finally arrived we all pack into the car and truck to go and collect
the remainder of the clan for our fun day! I get to see my four legged grandson
Remy who is in the back of mommies truck waiting for us. He is so excited when
we all get out greeting him and saying hello! Now that we have everyone it’s
time to head to the beach!
I like to drive and park on the beach. There’s no lugging
coolers and chairs and all the stuff associated with the fun. We parked, set up
the tent, unloaded all the toys and chairs then had a tail gate party! The
water wasn’t that cold and the kids had so much fun playing football in it. We
took walks and made sand castles. The kids went to the jetty and took lots of
pictures. By the end of the day we were
all tired and the kids were covered in sand. We packed up, cleaned up, and headed home. It
was a quiet ride home with sleeping babies!
nice, happy mothers day
