Lesson Learned!

Don't miss your flight!!  This was the lesson learned by myself today!  I was scheduled to fly out at 6:45 am to Charlotte but miss calculated my drop off time. Big BooBoo!! I was booked on the next flight out to Charlotte which was 8:40 am. Not too bad. After waiting for about an hour the passengers get an announcement that there will be a delay and that maintenance is on board to resolve the problem.
Soon after the attendants at the desk begin to call any passengers with connecting flights to come up. Soon we all catch on to the fact that the flight isn't going to be departing on time. More than half the full flight had to be reassigned ! I was not one of them. The departure time changed several times. As I was getting intel of other flights to Charlotte from my man the attendants announced the flight was cancelled due to  a fuel leak they could not fix. All the other flights had been booked. I was sent to check on flight 445 for seats only to discover they had put about a dozen crew members on instead of passengers who had been stranded from the morning flight. There was a very upset gentleman next to me who said he believed the policy of the airline was to board passengers first. I was finally booked on a flight leaving MCO at 1:59 pm to Charlotte. As I was having that done a woman from my original flight who was a layover in Charlotte came back and said the new flight departing at 11:55 am she was put on ALSO got delayed with no  idea how long that delay would be. She was back to square one with trying to get home!

I went to get some lunch and am now parked in a corner of the airport waiting for my flight as I blog my morning. A Wendy's hamburger before 11:00 am, yummy! LOL  As I look around I see more activity, people eating and looking irritated. I just spoke to a man who came over and said he was on the 11:55 am flight that was cancelled just like mine!! I can't believe this airline is having so much trouble with all their aircrafts! Guess I'll ask Google!

  1. I sorry to hear about your experience. I would've been pissed. What airline did you fly with?
